HUAWEI MA5608T OLT

Short Description:

The MA5608T is the world’s first OLT that combines the functionality of an aggregation switch and an edge router. Using GPON, 10GPON, Ethernet P2P, and triple-band technology, the terminal provides high-performance network access. It is Huawei’s smallest OLT, capable of serving up to 4,096 simultaneous users. It supports up to 32 GPON ports, up to 16 XG-GPON ports, up to 512,000 MAC cards, 8192 ARP cards, and a switching speed of up to 720 GB/sec. The device is suitable for 19″ rack mounting.

Managing remote site aggregation
The OLT supports aggregation management and plug-and-play for remote sites. This eliminates the need to run on-premises software and integrate OSS, simplifying device management. Management of remote devices is centered on the OLT through GE aggregation. In this way, service configuration, software upgrades, and maintenance of remote sites can be carried out through the OLT, significantly reducing the complexity of FTTx network management. Highly efficient implementation: There is no need to plan separate management IP addresses for remote sites, saving management IP resources. Furthermore, no initial configuration of remote sites is required. When activated, remote sites automatically register with the main shelf using a proprietary protocol. Rapid integration: Remote sites are considered virtual service masters and are managed by the OST. They share the same MIB interface with the OLT. OSS integration is greatly simplified when new sites are added. Easy OAM: Remote sites and primary devices have a unified OAM user interface, including both the CLI and GUI. This relieves OAM engineers from having to learn new devices and reduces associated costs.
